Sunday’s walk is a 9.5 mile ‘B’ walk with 1500 ft of ascent.
Starting from the western outskirts of Conway with a short road walk we will
follow tracks to the south of the ridge ascending the mountain.
The route turns south over farm land and ascends to the moorland south of
Maen Esgob and with a slightly circuitous route continues over further hilly
terrain to the Sychnant Pass.
Crossing the pass at its summit we make one further minor ascent to reach
the summit of Conway Mountain.
Weather permitting we make the easy descent of the ridge eastwards with
wonderful views over sea and land, and finally return to our cars by the
first part of the walk route.
