Summer appears to be upon us heralded by evening walks!
Wednesday 26th April will be our first evening walk of the season, starting at 6.30 p.m.
It’s round the village of Tarvin, taking in the historic centre before heading for ancient Townfield Lane and the Community Woodland. To avoid mud and flood the route follows quiet cul de sac lanes and tracks, returning on a daffodil lined pavement. It is about 3 .5 to 4 miles, but anyone wanting a shorter stroll can easily and safely cut off a mile and await us in the pub.
From Chester take A 51 to Tarvin roundabout. Continue ahead, now on A 54 for a quarter of a mile, forking right at the brow of the slope into the village. Follow the major road round a right angled bend, passing church on the left. Park either side of the wide road between church and garage. We will leave from bench and war memorial outside church at 6.30 p.m.
