Thursday 8th November

It will be a village walk, around the beautiful garden village of Port Sunlight, on The Wirral.  As you may know, Port Sunlight was created by the industrialist William Lever, and we’ll take time to explore the beautiful houses and social facilities that the great man established here.  We will walk about 2.5 miles (a very short walk by our standards!) which gives us plenty of time to admire and talk about the village.  The walk is entirely on pavements, so comfortable shoes are fine.

The itinerary is likely to be as follows, though we may tweak it nearer time.

10.15 – 10.30. Meet at Port Sunlight
10.30 – 1pm.  Walk the village trail.  24 sights of interest to take in!
1pm – 2pm.    Lunch, and optional visit to Museum.
2pm – 3pm.   Guided tour of Lady Lever Art Gallery
3pm.               Finish.
