The walk is a C/D walk of 10 miles. Mainly a flat walk, apart from the climb up Wirswall Hill. Total climbing 600 feet.
This walk explores the Cheshire countryside around Wrenbury and Marbury. Leaving Wrenbury, we will follow the South Cheshire Way (SCW) to Marbury. Continuing on the SCW, we will walk by Marbury Big Mere and then climb to the top of Wirswall Hill, offering panoramic views across Cheshire. We then descend to Marbury, before returning along a picturesque section of the Llangollen canal to Wrenbury.
We will park at Wrenbury, on the Recreation Ground car park, adjacent to the Health Centre. Map reference SJ 596476. Postcode CW5 8HW.
Depart Upton Library at 9am, meet at Wrenbury at 9.45am, start walking by 10am. Expect to complete the walk by 4pm.
